Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) / Tester Trainees who are passionate about building a successful career in software testing and quality assurance. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are eager to gain real-world industry exposure through a free internship program.

As a QA Trainee, you will work closely with our experienced development and QA teams, gaining hands-on experience in software testing, bug identification, debugging, test case creation, and quality assurance processes. Throughout the internship, you will learn industry best practices, testing methodologies, and modern testing tools while contributing to live software projects.

This internship is designed to help you develop the technical skills, analytical thinking, and practical experience required to launch a successful career in Software Quality Assurance.

Your Mission

Responsibilities

Assist in testing web, mobile, and desktop applications to ensure quality and functionality.
Execute manual test cases and document test results accurately.
Identify, reproduce, and report software bugs using bug-tracking tools.
Work closely with developers to verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
Participate in requirement analysis to understand application functionality.
Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and testing documentation.
Perform functional, usability, integration, and regression testing.
Validate software against business and technical requirements.
Assist in debugging issues and verifying application behaviour across different devices and browsers.
Ensure applications meet quality standards before deployment.
Collaborate with the development and project management teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Learn and follow industry-standard QA methodologies, testing processes, and best practices.
Gain hands-on experience with software testing tools and bug reporting systems.
Continuously improve testing knowledge and contribute ideas for enhancing product quality.
Maintain clear documentation of testing activities, defects, and test outcomes.

Qualifications

Eligibility Criteria

Any graduate / postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, MCA, BCA, or related field
Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year experience
Candidates seeking free internship for learning and career growth
Basic understanding of programming concepts
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong willingness to learn and adapt

Competency

Technical Skills

Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts and QA methodologies.
Knowledge of Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Understanding of Bug Life Cycle and defect management processes.
Basic knowledge of writing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Plans.
Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
Basic knowledge of API Testing using tools like Postman (preferred).
Understanding of SQL and database fundamentals for data validation.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web application testing.
Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging web applications.
Awareness of cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
Basic understanding of mobile application testing for Android and iOS.
Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is an added advantage.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving QA practices.
